500 Festival mini-mini

Join Us for This NEW Adventure – the VIRTUAL 500 Festival mini-mini Kids' Run!

Traditionally, the 500 Festival mini-mini kids’ run draws thousands of young runners and cheering fans to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. For the first time ever, the #Indyminimini will be held VIRTUALLY! Taking place throughout the month of October, virtual mini-mini participants will complete their race distance whenever and wherever they choose. The virtual mini-mini is designed to provide Indiana’s youth with a memorable running event experience similar to the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon.

The virtual mini-mini features four different race distances, ranging from half a mile to 3 miles, allowing participants to select the distance that best meets their age and ability. The virtual mini-mini is recommended for children ages 5-12, but is open to ALL ages! All 500 Festival mini-mini participants will receive a commemorative technical t-shirt, the finisher’s medal, a customizable race bib, and a finisher certificate.

Registration: August 12- September 30

To encourage kids to start running or walking and to highlight the virtual race to a global audience, the No. 24 Dreyer & Reinbold Racing WIX Filters Chevrolet, driven by Sage Karam, and the No. 67 Dreyer & Reinbold Racing Salesforce Chevrolet, driven by J.R. Hildebrand, featured branding of the 500 Festival’s mini-mini kids’ run during the 104th Running of the Indianapolis 500.

Karam and Hildebrand also serve as spokespersons and ambassadors for the mini-mini. We might not be able to race together in-person this year, but your mini runners were represented during the Greatest Spectacle in Racing on August 23!
