The Indy Mini Referral Program allows participants to earn a $40 refund on their race registration when someone registers for the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon or Challenge using your custom referral link.
To participate, participants must agree to these terms, which become part of the 500 Festival’s Terms of Service."
How to Earn Referral Credits
Participants will earn credit for registration if a friend or family member clicks on their custom referral link and registers for the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon.
The referring participant will be awarded their refund once they accumulate five (5) and ten (10) registration referrals. The refund will be automatically processed and the credit card used to pay for the referring participant’s registration will be credited.
The referring participant will be awarded an Exclusive Indy Mini T-shirt at three (3) registration referrals, an Indy Mini Water Bottle at seven (7) registration referrals, and a free OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon registration for the following year at twelve (12) registration referrals.
The maximum registration refund that each participant can earn is $40 USD or total cost of registration, whichever is lower. The refund amount shall not exceed total amount paid for registration if coupons or other codes were used during transaction. Refund applies to registration fee of the entry only, not the transaction or additional purchases tied to the registration. T-shirt, water bottle, and Mini-marathon registration have no cash value and may not be substituted, transferred, or exchanged for cash.
No raincheck or backdating referrals. Those who register without your link (including paper registration forms) will not be added to your referral count. Offer valid on race registrations completed via the race’s online registration platform while registration is open for that year's event. Void where prohibited. 500 Festival reserves the right to stop or change promotion at any time.
Sharing Your Referral Link
Referrals should only be used for personal and non-commercial purposes. Referral links should not be published or distributed on commercial websites (such as coupon websites, Reddit, or Wikipedia), on blogs, or on any of the 500 Festival’s social media platforms. Participants are prohibited from “spamming” anyone with referral invitations. This includes mass emailing, texting or messaging people you do not know or using automated systems or bots through any channel to distribute your referral link. Participants are prohibited from paying to advertise their referral links. Referral links should not be posted on event or venue pages without express permission from the owner.
No Misrepresentations
You agree that you will not attempt to mislead anyone in connection with the Referral Program, either by affirmative representation, implication, or omission. In particular, you agree that you will not:
Impersonate any person or entity
Create fake accounts, blogs, web pages, profiles, websites, links, or messages
Misrepresent your relationship with the 500 Festival or any other third party (don’t create content or communications that could have the effect of leading a consumer to believe that it is an official communication from the 500 Festival or the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon).
Suggest that an affiliation or partnership exists with a third party where none exists.
Prohibited content
You agree that you will not use the 500 Festival or OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon brand in connection with:
- Disparaging or defamatory content concerning 500 Festival or third parties;
- Content that promotes racism, bigotry, hatred, discrimination, or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual;
- Offensive, abusive, intimidating, or harassing content
- Content that is sexually explicit, obscene, and/or contains nudity
- Any political and/or religious statement;
- Content containing images or references to drugs, alcohol, tobacco, weapons, or firearms
- Content that violates someone else’s privacy
Other Restrictions
You also agree that you will not:
- Create websites, domains, URLs, social media handles, or email addresses containing the words “500 Festival”, “Indy Mini” or “Mini-Marathon”
- Use someone else’s brand name or intellectual property without their written consent (for example, referencing “Indy 500” or “Indianapolis Colts” would be prohibited)
- Engage in phishing or attempting to obtain financial or other personal information
- Solicit passwords or personally identifiable information
- You agree that you will only distribute your Indy Mini Referral Link free of charge only for promotional purposes. You may not sell, trade, or barter your Indy Mini Referral Link under any circumstances. You may not pay or provide anything of value to an invited participant
- You agree that you will not pay to advertise your Indy Mini Referral link or the Referral Program, including via Google, Facebook, Twitter, Bing and Craigslist.
- Create printed materials other than those authorized by 500 Festival
- Post printed materials on public or private property without the express written consent of the owner
- Engage in fraudulent activity. You agree that you and your referrals will not defraud or abuse (or attempt to defraud or abuse) 500 Festival, the terms of the Indy Mini Referral Program, or any invited users
- The Referral Program may not be combined with any other Indy Mini program or incentives, including but not limited to: Employee Wellness Challenge, Mini With a Meaning, Group Registration, Badge Match, Corporate Member Program.
- In addition to the copy, would like to add graphics (infographic explaining the program, mockup of the Finisher Jacket, participant photo of group of friends, etc.)
If you violate any of these restrictions 500 Festival may, in its discretion, remove your eligibility to participate in the Referral Program, and/or deny you any Referral Rewards earned in violation or suspected violation of these restrictions.

Where can I find my Personal Referral Link?
Your unique referral link can be found in your registration confirmation email. Search your email for a message with the subject line: Your referral link will be right under your credit card information, look for “Your Personal Referral Link.” Make sure you check your Junk, Promotions, or Clutter folders.
You can also find your referral link in your RunSignup account. To find the URL, or the status of your referrals, log in to RunSignup.com, click on My Profile, under Runner Links section (at the bottom), My Referrals
