The Hoosier Holiday Challenge Referral Program offers registered participants the opportunity to earn rewards when you refer friends and family to register for the Hoosier Holiday Challenge and/or Hoosier Holiday Round Trip Challenge.

- Earn swag and cash back! You’ll get credit for anyone who registers for the Hoosier Holiday Challenge or the Round Trip Challenge through your personal referral link!

How To Earn Referral Credits
Participants will earn credit for a registration if a friend / family member clicks on their custom referral link and registers for either the Hoosier Holiday Challenge or the Hoosier Holiday Round Trip Challenge. Referral links are sent out after a transaction has been placed. If multiple registrations are completed in that initial transaction they will not be counted towards referral totals.
The Hoosier Holiday Challenge referral level for three (3) referrals is a donation to Gleaners Food Bank, Inc., from The 500 Festival, Inc. No cash transaction from the participant, non-tax deductible for participant. It has no cash value and may not be substituted, transferred or exchanged for cash.
The referring participant will be awarded an exclusive Hoosier Holiday Challenge sherpa blanket once they accumulate five (5) registration referrals. Referring participant will receive their item through the mail.
The referring participant will be awarded their $20 refund once they accumulate seven (7) registration referrals. The refund will be automatically processed and the credit card used to pay for the referring participant’s registration will be credited.
The referring participant will be awarded an exclusive Hoosier Holiday Challenge water bottle once they accumulate ten (10) registration referrals. Referring participant will receive their item through the mail.
The referring participant will be awarded an additional $20 refund once they accumulate twelve (12) registration referrals. The refund will be automatically processed and the credit card used to pay for the referring participant’s registration will be credited.
The referring participant will be awarded an exclusive Hoosier Holiday Challenge sweatshirt once they accumulate fifteen (15) registration referrals. Referring participant will receive their item through the mail
The maximum registration refund that each participant can earn is $40 USD or total cost of registration, whichever is lower. Refund amount shall not exceed total amount paid for registration if coupons or other codes were used during transaction. Refund applies to registration fee of the entry only, not the transaction or additional purchases tied to the registration. The exclusive Hoosier Holiday Challenge Merchandise item/or voucher have no cash value and may not be substituted, transferred or exchanged for cash.
No raincheck or backdating referrals. Those who register without your link (including paper registration forms) will not be added to your referral count. Offer valid on Hoosier Holiday Challenge or the Round Trip Challenge registrations completed via the online registration platform from 10/7/2020 at 12:01 at ET until 12/1/2020 11:59 pm ET. Void where prohibited. 500 Festival reserves the right to stop or change promotion at any time.
Sharing Your Referral Link
Referrals should only be used for personal and non-commercial purposes. Referral links should not be published or distributed on commercial websites (such as coupon websites, Reddit, or Wikipedia), on blogs, or on any of the 500 Festival’s social media platforms. Participants are prohibited from “spamming” anyone with referral invitations. This includes mass emailing, texting or messaging people you do not know or using automated systems or bots through any channel to distribute your referral link. Participants are prohibited from paying to advertise their referral links. Referral links should not be posted on event or venue pages without express permission from the owner.
No Misrepresentations
You agree that you will not attempt to mislead anyone in connection with the Referral Program, either by affirmative representation, implication, or omission. In particular, you agree that you will not:
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Create fake accounts, blogs, web pages, profiles, websites, links or messages
- Misrepresent your relationship with the 500 Festival or any other third party (don’t create content or communications that could have the effect of leading a consumer to believe that it is an official communication from the 500 Festival, Hoosier Holiday Challenge or the Hoosier Holiday Round Trip Challenge).
- Suggest that an affiliation or partnership exists with a third party where none exists.
Prohibited content
You agree that you will not use the 500 Festival, Hoosier Holiday Challenge or the Hoosier Holiday Round Trip Challenge brand in connection with:
- Disparaging or defamatory content concerning 500 Festival or third parties;
- Content which promotes racism, bigotry, hatred, discrimination or physical harm of any kind against any group or individual;
- Offensive, abusive, intimidating or harassing content
- Content that is sexually explicit, obscene and/or contains nudity
- Any political and/or religious statement;
- Content containing images or reference to drugs, alcohol, tobacco, weapons or firearms
- Content that violates someone else’s privacy
Other Restrictions
You also agree that you will not:
- Create websites, domains, URLs, social media handles or email addresses containing the words “500 Festival”, "Hoosier Holiday Challenge," “Hoosier Holiday Round Trip Challenge” or "Round Trip Challenge."
- Use someone else’s brand name or intellectual property without their written consent (for example, referencing “Indy 500” or “Indianapolis Colts” would be prohibited)
- Engage in phishing or attempting to obtain financial or other personal information
- Solicit passwords or personally identifiable information
- You agree that you will only distribute your referral Link free of charge only for promotional purposes. You may not sell, trade, or barter your referral Link under any circumstances. You may not pay or provide anything of value to an invited participant.
- You agree that you will not pay to advertise your referral link or the Referral Program, including via Google, Facebook, Twitter, Bing and Craigslist.
- Create printed materials other than those authorized by 500 Festival
- Post printed materials on public or private property without the express written consent of the owner
- Engage in fraudulent activity. You agree that you and your referrals will not defraud or abuse (or attempt to defraud or abuse) 500 Festival, the terms of the Hoosier Holiday Challenge Referral Program, or any invited users
If you violate any of these restrictions 500 Festival may, in its discretion, remove your eligibility to participate in the Referral Program, and/or deny you any Referral Rewards earned in violation or suspected violation of these restrictions
