Indy Mini Ambassador Program

Are you ready to represent The Greatest Spectacle in Running®? We're seeking a diverse, enthusiastic, and dedicated group of individuals of all abilities to serve as ambassadors for the 500 Festival Mini-Marathon and Delta Dental 5k! As an Indy Mini Ambassador, your mission is to foster encouragement, inclusivity, and inspiration within the community.

Indy Mini Ambassadors play a crucial role in promoting the Indy Mini by sharing their passion for running and walking. Through your enthusiasm, you will inspire others to embrace a healthy lifestyle and join the excitement of our running events. Whether through social media, word-of-mouth, or presenting opportunities to local run clubs, your influence will help spread the word and motivate others to join the excitement of the Indy Mini!

Duties and Responsibilities

Demonstrate a positive attitude, foster a sense of community, and be respectful to each other, the 500 Festival staff, volunteers, and other participants
Required participation in the 500 Festival Mini-Marathon and/or Delta Dental 5k
Required participation in the 500 Festival Miler Series, presented by OrthoIndy, in-person or virtually.
Recruit a minimum of 10 participants for the Indy Mini using your unique referral code
Include “#IndyMini Ambassador” in at least one social media bio
Be active on social media platform(s):
- Announce that you have been selected as an Indy Mini Ambassador on at least one platform
- Post content relating to the Indy Mini on your platform(s) a minimum of twice per month
- Post exciting Indy Mini content the week of the event
- Engage with participants in the 2025 500 Festival Mini-Marathon Facebook group
- Encourage others who post about the Indy Mini or Miler Series via commenting
Recruit a minimum of 5 volunteers for any 500 Festival event or program
Complete at least 1 volunteer session at the Mini-Marathon Expo
Attend all Indy Mini Ambassador meetings

Ambassador Rules & Regulations

Please note that Ambassadors are NOT financially compensated in any way. We do not subsidize travel, training expenses, or issue payment of any kind to our team. Ambassadors for the 2025 500 Festival Mini-Marathon will serve from November 2024 through May 2025. We reserve the right to remove any Ambassador from the team at any time due to poor conduct or failure to perform duties.
