UPDATE ON THE 2020 RACE

The 500 Festival is suspending all planned, in-person events scheduled through May 9, 2020. The 2020 OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon and Delta Dental 500 Festival 5K (scheduled for May 2) will NOT take place in-person. The suspension of these events is in accordance with the CDC’s updated guidance to cancel, postpone or provide virtual options for all large events for the next 8 weeks in an attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

The 500 Festival is doing everything possible to minimize the economic impact and ramifications that will be experienced as a result of canceling these in-person events. If you are registered for the 2020 Indy Mini or 5K, you can find more information about your available options HERE.

Estimated Finish Times

The OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon uses a Wave System and corrals for a more efficient and organized race experience. Please be honest with the assessment of your ability, as you will be placed in a corral based on your run / racewalk / walk status and your estimated finish time. As a reference, most walkers complete the Mini-Marathon between 3:15 and 4:00. The Mini-Marathon has a time limit of 4 hours (18 minutes per mile pace). Participants must be able to maintain the 18 minute per mile pace or they will be required to board the trail bus. This limit allows our volunteers to clean and clear the course prior to the streets being open to traffic. Our Back of the Pack crew will be out to mark the time limit and encourage all the participants to keep going! The 18 minute per mile time limit begins when the last participant crosses the start line.

Pit Stations

There will be 11 water and five Gatorade Endurance Formula stations (known Pit Stations) along the course and at the start and finish line. Pit Stations will be located at the following locations:
