500 Festival Launches IndyMini.com

New website will serve as information hub for all of the organization’s running programs and events

INDIANAPOLIS (April 16, 2015) – The 500 Festival, a nonprofit organization providing life-enriching events for Indiana and celebrating the legacy of the Indianapolis 500, today announced the launch of IndyMini.com, a new website for its running programs and events. IndyMini.com will feature quick, easy-to-find information and resources for: the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-MarathonFinish Line 500 Festival 5Kthe 500 Festival Miler Series, presented by OrthoIndythe Chase 500 Festival Rookie Run, and the 500 Festival KidsFit Program. The 500 Festival hopes that by grouping all of the organization’s running programs and events, it will offer the community a more comprehensive overview of its offerings and the impact that these events have on the community.  

 

Created to provide participants of the 500 Festival’s running and walking events with an optimal experience, IndyMini.com is mobile friendly and features a clean, intuitive design and improved functionality. The website, which is live today, also features easy access to registration for the 500 Festival’s wide range of running and walking events as well as its official merchandise.

“As an avid runner and nine time Mini-Marathon participant, it was rewarding to use past race experiences to create a website for our participants,” said Kim Gale, director of marketing for running events and programs at the 500 Festival. “We hope that IndyMini.com visitors will use the website as a resource for relevant event information. And, as we continue to add fresh new content, we hope that it will serve as inspiration for anyone looking to make our programs and events part of their health and fitness journey.”

 

The launch of IndyMini.com comes just in time for the 39th OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon is the nation’s largest half-marathon and will be held on May 2, 2015. The OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon is the 500 Festival's largest fundraiser and a vital part of the city’s civic fabric. Proceeds from the race help support the 500 Festival's free program and events. The 13.1-mile course stretches from downtown Indianapolis to the famed 2.5 mile oval at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and ends downtown in Military Park. The OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon is sponsored by OneAmerica, Finish Line, Franciscan St. Francis Health and Meijer. The Mini-Marathon will be broadcast to the Indianapolis market on WTHR, Channel 13.
